Police

The Guyana Police Force was established on July 01, 1839. The Force is headed by a Commissioner of Police and is divided into twelve(12) Region and a number of branches spanning Guyana.

Fire department

The Guyana Fire Service is committed to the protection of life and property from destruction by fire through employment of best practices for Fire Protection, Fire Prevention and Public Education; attending to other disaster-related emergencies, effecting rescues and the rendering of humanitarian services in collaboration with other relevant agencies.

Ambulance

Ambulance service only operates in and around Georgetown, the remainder of the country has no organized ambulance service and relies on police, taxi, and civilian transport to local hospitals in an emergency.
